CHIYO Tokyo

CHIYO Tokyo

$385.00

A modern aviator frame rendered fully in Italian acetate named after Eva Masaki’s mother Chiyo, who came of age as a Japanese woman living in America in the 1960s and 70s. A celebration of the name Chiyo (ch-ee-yo), meaning “one thousand generations” in Japanese, the frames are an enduring style with an updated approach. Sensibly oversized and narrow through the temples, the hexagonal frame is designed to fit a wide range of face shapes. Handmade in Northern Italy from cellulose acetate by Mazzucchelli.

Yellow tortoise acetate, known as Tokyo tort, with a warm brown lens. A palette that reflects the essence of Tokyo—fast-moving, dense, continually evolving, grounded by a deep cultural foundation. Moments of stillness surface within the pace: shrines appear unexpectedly; a shift in pace beneath the trees at Meiji Jingu. Luminous, structured, and in constant motion—forward-thinking yet timeless. Paired with a category 2 brown lens, suited to moderate sun and everyday wear.

Dimensions: eye 52 mm, bridge 18 mm, temple 141 mm
