CHIYO Water

CHIYO Water

$385.00

A modern aviator frame rendered fully in Italian acetate named after Eva Masaki’s mother Chiyo, who came of age as a Japanese woman living in America in the 1960s and 70s. A celebration of the name Chiyo (ch-ee-yo), meaning “one thousand generations” in Japanese, the frames are an enduring style with an updated approach. Sensibly oversized and narrow through the temples, the hexagonal frame is designed to fit a wide range of face shapes. Handmade in Northern Italy from cellulose acetate by Mazzucchelli.

Translucent lavender frame with lavender to sky gradient lens. A balanced combination of purple hues, uplifting on a cloudy day. A paean to the magical quality of water, the shade is reminiscent of Eva's days living along the Nagara river in Gifu, Japan: windows open, listening to the sound of the river rushing down from the alps until the snow fell. An iconic frame for the brand where both purple and water take center stage.

Dimensions: eye 52 mm, bridge 18 mm, temple 141 mm
