CHIYO Waves
A modern aviator frame rendered fully in Italian acetate named after Eva Masaki’s mother Chiyo, who came of age as a Japanese woman living in America in the 1960s and 70s. A celebration of the name Chiyo (ch-ee-yo), meaning “one thousand generations” in Japanese, the frames are an enduring style with an updated approach. Sensibly oversized and narrow through the temples, the hexagonal frame is designed to fit a wide range of face shapes. Handmade in Northern Italy from cellulose acetate by Mazzucchelli.
Translucent ice blue with a grey double gradient category 2 lens. A category 2 lens is optimal for partial sun and changing conditions. A color echoing the rise and fall of ocean waves, the constant nature of change, and gentle rhythms of life.
Dimensions: eye 52 mm, bridge 18 mm, temple 141 mm
100% UV protected lens
